On June 10, 2o12, the annual walk was held @ Stanley Park!

Getting ready to start the walk! Chilly day, but everyone was all set and dressed warm!

The Walk to Cure 2012 was an Amazing success!

Besides the walk, many booths were set up so there were plenty of activities during the event!

Over 5,000 Walkers raised $904,000 to find a cure for type 1 diabetes! The TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes is JDRF’s most popular annual fundraising event, uniting communities across the country to raise awareness and funds for world-class research to cure, better treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes. The TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes was a fun way for families, friends and colleagues to get involved and help make a difference in the lives of over 300,000 Canadians living with type 1 diabetes.

Thank you to Amanda for inviting me to participate in this event!

Sneaker Club Recognition Booth

Beside the Sneaker Club Wall of Fame

I had an awesome time volunteering and interacting with all the positive participants and JDRF staff at the walk! At the Sneaker Club Recognition booth, I congratulated all the kind teams and individuals who raised over $1000 for the Walk. They were given the opportunity to sign the Wall of Fame. It is very admirable how there are people who have members for over 10 years. All members also received a complimentary keepsake photo as a gift for their hard work and effort!
